The EA ELR Regenerative DC Electronic Load from EA Elektro-Automatik sets a new standard in high power density and advanced features, surpassing conventional electronic loads. This regenerative load is designed to sink (absorb) current and recover up to 96% of it, redirecting it back to the local power grid. This energy-efficient design not only minimizes heat and noise but also reduces HVAC costs, making the ELR both cost-effective and eco-friendly. With input power ratings up to 15kW in a 3U form factor or 30kW in a 4U form factor, and a maximum voltage of 2000 VDC, ELRs can be effortlessly paralleled in racks to achieve up to 1.92MW of power.

EA’s High Power Density ELR DC Electronic Loads come equipped with True Autoranging, a feature that automatically adjusts the current at lower voltages and vice versa, while maintaining full power output. This ensures a broader range of testing capabilities with a single device.

The ELR Series further enhances user experience with its 5″ TFT Gorilla® Glass touchscreen display, offering intuitive control and rapid test setup. Standard features include an arbitrary waveform function generator, an in-field swappable digital interface module, and pre-programmed test routines. These routines cover a wide array of applications, such as battery testing, fuel cell simulation, and photovoltaic simulation with Maximum Power Point (MPP) tracking.
